Didn't work for me this time. Not sure what it was, it was written the same way as the first but this time it just didn't stick. I found I didn't care what happened to Dante (he appeared to be more childish then before) I really didn't care about Heather which is sad b/c I really liked her as the main character in the first one.

Maybe it was all the new people being added in. Or the simple fact it was a month since I read the first one but for some reason or another this one just didn't stick with me. So it became 6th DNF's for this year.

Let me know what you thought? Should I have stuck with it? Did it pick up?

Okay just started In The Blood by Adrian Phoenix finally. Its been sitting in the library pile forever. And everyone warned me to read it as close to the first one as I could but since I Have this thing where I can't binge on an author or I burn out. I had to wait a few weeks.

Anywho starts off with a bang guys dead but have no idea who he is or if he was even in the first one. It doesn't sound like it but one can never be sure and since I don't own the first one I can't really go and check. Seeing how I'm only on page 6 and we have a death I would say that is a BANG effect no?

I'm still trying to think about the first one and if I remember enough to read this one but I guess we will see. I hate doing reviews where I give stuff away in the book but thinking that might be a better idea then what I'm doing b/c I can't remember half the things that happen LOL. Oh well as I read further I will give reports

THOUGHTS/OPINION:
Alright this book starts off with a bang. We have FBI Agent Heather Wallace looking at yet another body this time in New Orleans and she is more than certain it’s the same killer she has been tracking for the last 3 years. The CCK (Cross County Killer). She is also confident that it has something to do with Club Hell. After all the body was found out in the back yard with a new symbol and a new message. So off Heather goes to investigate. But you see Club Hell brings up old memories for Heather. Her sister used to sing in places like this, use to dress like these people and ended up killing herself. Not to mention on top of bad memories, chasing a killer and a club that caters to the undead (which she doesn’t believe in) she finds Dante very intriguing.

Things I enjoyed:
-I enjoyed learning about Dante’s past. It was hard to swallow at times and it was not pretty but learning about what made him who he was fascinated me through out the whole book. I really wanted to get to know Dante better.
-Heather herself was very interesting. She wasn’t the typical I’m so tough I don’t need anyone to help me. I’m so bad ass until I get into a fight. She was very focused on her job. Was good at what she does and knew her limitations and that’s the kind of heroine I grow to respect and want the best for them.
-The plot twist was anything Grand but I enjoyed watching it unfold. The author had a way of writing that sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go. Every time I knew something was coming, it did, but in a way I hadn’t expected.

Things I didn’t care for:
-This is rare but there wasn’t a lot I didn’t care for. I thought the plot was tight enough that if you would’ve cut anything out you would’ve missed a lot. I thought most if not all the characters were needed to keep things moving. The only one I had reservations about and could’ve done without was Wallace’s boss. He really didn’t play that major of a roll other than getting Dante’s past to Heather.

Are you keeping it or passing it on? Sadly enough this was a library book. But I think it might just get added on to the TBB pile.

And boy I haven't been on here in a while. Sorry about that. So I finished An Accidental Goddess by Linnea Sinclair the other day. Very good. I will post the review either today or tomorrow.

Can't seem to get through Blood Angel and I'm not sure if its b/c I have to really focus in order to grasp the plot or if it just isn't as good as I remembered. But hey that's what the re-read is for. However, I do need to either write it off soon or finish the damn thing.

My latest read is A Rush of Wings by Adrian Phoenix and I have to say its suprisingly better than I anticipated so that's a relief. Will try to post as I go.

So as you can see interesting. Snagged my attention right from the get go which is always good. I'm currently on page 75 and still interested enough to want to read it more than at work.
Nothing much going on after that LOL.
